Open Palace Museum in Gulsehir

Located in the Gulsehir district of Nevsehir province, the open palace museum is one of the places made by carving the rocks, like most historical buildings in the region. It is thought that the building was built in the Byzantine Period.

Open Palace Museum (Açık Saray Müzesi)

Due to the numerous tombs carved into the rocks in the region, it is thought that this area was used by the armies of the Byzantine Emperor Nikephoros Phokas between 960 and 965.

There are many interesting buildings in the area. Mushroom rock is among these formations and is the symbol of Gulsehir district.

Museum entrances and parking area are offered free of charge to visitors.
