Kusadası, the touristic district of Aydın, hosted only tourists due to the elections. Local tourists returned to their hometowns to vote in Kusadası. Also, when the locals living in Kusadası went to vote, only foreign tourists remained on the streets.
Therefore, the touristic bazaars and beaches of Kusadası were left to foreign tourists. 4,200 tourists, who stayed at the hotels and got off the giant cruise ship Odyssey Seas, which docked at the port in the morning, visited Kusadası bazaars and shopped after their tour.
Since the sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in accordance with Article 79 of the Election Law, alcoholic beverages were not served to the tourists sitting in the restaurants.
